Happy Dies y Seis everyone! The Instituto Cultural de Mexico is producing a spectacular show Monday, September 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Auditorium for a Dies y Seis celebration. The Guadalajara-based recording artist AZUCENA will perform with the accompaniment of Mariachi Sangre Mexicana de Manuel Vargas. The Mariachi Extravaganza team is making it possible for AZUCENA to spend Tuesday morning visiting high schools to promote cultural preservation and education through mariachi music. AZUCENA stays true to her heart in promoting, singing and recording mariachi music despite entertainment industry pressure to record banda and other types of Latin musical genres. AZUCENA opened for Mariachi Vargas in December 07 at the San Antonio Municipal Auditorium. Welcome back to San Antonio AZUCENA!
