I would say that the harpist who I admire most is Nicanor Zavaleta. Who was your best teacher ever and why? There are two teachers I have learned a great deal from. I studied Mexican music with Mario Barradas and South American music with Celso Duarte. How many hours a day did you practice growing up? Now, how many hours a day do you practice? When I was growing up and studying the harp I would practice six hours a day every day. Now I practice approximately two hours a day.
