The early registration deadline for groups who would like to participate in the 20th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza Group Competition is this Friday, October 24. Participants must complete and submit their online registration forms by Friday in order to take advantage of the super rate of only $55 per student and $130 per director.

Thanks for your cooperation in meeting this deadline, as it helps give us enough time to prepare directors manuals, student music books, and everything else we need to do to make the Extravaganza a success. As a reminder, the $55 student registration fee includes entry and participation in the Serenata en el Río, student workshops, group and vocal competitions, and the student presentation. Please refer to the complete Schedule of Events for details.

You will receive an e-mail verification shortly after you complete the online registration form on mariachimusic.com. If you don’t receive this message, please contact Sandra at (210) 225-3353 by Friday the 24th, before 4 p.m. After that time, the rate increases to $80 per student and $155 per director through October 31. Registration is closed after October 31.

Our 20th anniversary celebration will be super exciting, and we look forward to your participation. Past winners of the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza often continue on to win other competitions held throughout the nation. The finest mariachi groups in the U.S. can be seen and heard right here in San Antonio, at the 20th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza!
