Students have just a few more days to submit a CD for a chance to compete in the 2010 Mariachi Extravaganza Vocal Competition in San Antonio December 4. The deadline to complete the online application is October 1. The Mariachi Extravaganza Vocal Competition is recognized as the most competitive and entertaining mariachi vocal competition in the U.S. and the only one of its kind judged by members of the internationally acclaimed Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan. The vocal competition is open to anyone enrolled in school from elementary to college age. The Mariachi Extravaganza Vocal Competition is one of the most popular events taking place during the 7-day mariachi music event in San Antonio with several thousand people in attendance.
