Steeven Sandoval returns to San Antonio for Vocal Camp

 

Steeven Sandoval returns to San Antonio to lead the 2nd Annual Mariachi Extravaganza Summer Vocal Camp set for June 24-28 at the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center. Steeven is one of the greatest vocalist to have performed with the world’s preeminent Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlan. He is a now a vocalist and violinist with one of Mexico’s top performing groups Mariachi Nuevo Tecalitlan. He will be joined by Nuevo Tecalitlan’s vocalist and guitarist Edwin Origel Mendez.

The camp consists of one full week of mariachi vocal instruction where students will learn vocal technique and performance skills along with interpretation, presentation, pronunciation, sound equipment and more. The camp is open to ages 7 and up and is available for beginners to advance vocalists.

The 2nd Annual Mariachi Extravaganza Summer Vocal Camp is a collaboration between the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center (GCAC) and the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza and is funded in part by AHMSA International. A community presentation with Mariachi Extravaganza Summer Vocal Camp participants will be held at the GCAC on Friday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. The Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center is located at 1300 Guadalupe St., San Antonio, Texas 78207.

 

A minimal registration fee covers the Mariachi Extravaganza Summer Vocal Camp, lunch and snacks daily. Host families are available upon requests.
