Celebrate Mother’s Day at the Cave Without A Name!

Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with Trio Los Reyes and Nayelli Peña at the Cave Without A Name. Known for its spectacular formations, the cave offers exceptional acoustics with nature’s natural backdrop.

Trio Los Reyes is made up of three outstanding musicians. Luis Villa is the first voice and guitar player. Ismael Rivera is the second voice and requinto player and José Luis de la Cruz is the third voice and bass player. All are esteemed musicians and vocalists who originated from Mexico and reside in San Antonio. The 3 musicians have a trajectory that spans over several decades with numerous recordings, videos and performances throughout the world. 

Nayelli Peña will reunite with Trio Los Reyes on stage having performed with the group in Amarillo last year. Nayelli was named Mariachi Extravaganza Grand Champion Vocal Winner in 2022 and was invited to perform with the Amarillo Symphony last October. She is currently a student at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in Edinburg where she is studying music education. 

Nayelli Peña, from Grulla, Texas, was selected as the Grand Champion Vocal winner at the 28th Annual Mariachi Extravaganza in 2022.

The Cave Without A Name is a National Natural Landmark in the Texas Hill Country and has been presenting live concerts for the past five years. This is the first time the cave will present a Mother’s Day Serenade. 

The Mother’s Day tribute takes place Saturday, May 11 at 7 PM. Tickets are still available but they’re going fast. Advanced tickets are $35 at cavewithoutaname. . The Cave Without a Name is located just 40 miles from downtown San Antonio at 325 Kreutzberg Rd. In Boerne, Texas 78006

The Universitsy of Houston’s Mariachi Pumas will perform with Houston Masterworks’ 40 piece Chorus at Match Midtown Arts & Theater Center in Houston on April 19. Check out this world premiere of Cancion Del Amor Lejano composed by Ily Mariano and arranged by Jose Chabelo Longoria. Mariano is a popular composer from the Philippines who collaborated with Longoria to write a piece specifically to bring choir and mariachi together in a spectacular performance with a song about love. Winners will have the opportunity to perform at the Houston Mariachi Festival and the McAllen Mariachi Festival.
