Mariachi Extravaganza, the nation’s premier mariachi music competition and festival, now in its 32nd year in San Antonio, returns to Las Vegas in collaboration with the UNLV School of Music and with support from KHS America Alianza Académica and JP Morgan Chase and The García-Udall Family Foundation.
Mariachi Extravaganza Las Vegas is a mariachi music festival featuring highly competitive mariachi group and vocal competitions followed by a concert performance with special guest artist Jonathan Palomar and UNLV’s Mariachi Revolucion.
Back by popular demand, Mariachi Extravaganza Las Vegas celebrates the rich tradition of mariachi music and showcases performance excellence while providing students and musicians of all ages the opportunity to compete, perform on a university concert stage, and be part of the nation’s most prestigious mariachi brand. The event supports music education, cultural preservation, and artistic growth through performance, competition, and community engagement.
The event will be held Saturday, March 28 at Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas located at 4505 Maryland Pkwy.

- Opportunity to compete on a University Concert Stage in one of 3 categories: Middle School, High School & Open Category (all ages). All groups receive up to 10 minutes!
- Entry into a full day of competitions
- No limit to the number of musicians who can compete. Mic set up will be for 16 students!
- Complimentary ticket to the concert for each competitor
- Complimentary entry fees for any students registered with a group and interested in competing in the vocal competition in one of 3 categories: Middle School, High School & College/University
- Opportunity to sit in on a 2-hour master class with Jonathan Palomar and Mariachi Revolution on Friday, March 27

January 6 – Group and Vocal Registration Opens
February 10 – Vocal Competition Deadline (Free for students registering with a Group and $50 for individuals)
February 17 – Group Registration Deadline ($500 for entire group/includes tickets to the concert)
February 27 – Vocal Finalists Announcement
March 3 – Late Registration Deadline ($650 for entire group)
March 28 – Group & Vocal Competitions/Mariachi Extravaganza Las Vegas Concert
