Sebastien De La Cruz  is moving on to the next round of America’s Got Talent!! Sebastien shared his experiences of being on the show with 35 mariachi vocalists who are in San Antonio participating in a Summer Mariachi Extravaganza Vocal Camp.

Be sure to tune in to America’s Got Talent (AGT) next week for the Las Vegas round. It all starts Monday, June 25 at 8 p.m. CT and goes through Wednesday, June 27 for a 2 1/2 hour show starting at 7:00 p.m.

Look for Sebastien De La Cruz, El Charro de Oro, who will be auditioning for the top 48 with Mariachi Charros de Oro.

A FREE public viewing of the nationally television PBS documentary “Mariachi High” will take place Friday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m. at Texas A&M City Base Campus located at 2206 Louis Bauer Drive, San Antonio, Texas 78235. The viewing will take place following performances from students participating in the 2012 Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza Vocal Camp. Performances are also FREE and start at 6:00 p.m.

San Antonio’s 10-year-old Sebastien De La Cruz was favored to move to the next round of America’s Got Talent and on to Las Vegas tonight during the televised Austin auditions. Sebastien is the first person to sing mariachi music on America’s Got Talent. This is a historical moment for the thousands of students involved in school-based mariachi music programs throughout the country.
