Mariachi Las Alteñas resumes their concerts at the Aztec Theatre in San Antonio starting March 6 at 4 pm.

Las Alteñas will perform on the first Sunday of every month as part of the San Antonio Rose Live Series. This all-female group is made-up of 10 beautiful and award-winning young ladies, including Vanessa Moreno who was the 1st place winner of San Antonio’s 16th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza College/University vocal competition. Vanessa, along with one other member of Las Alteñas, is also part of Mariachi Nueva Generacion from Texas State University, the 1st place winners of the 2010 Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza College/University group competition. Come enjoy an afternoon of magical, traditional mariachi music featuring some of the best mariachi musicians in Texas.
