Home grown Mariachi Los Galleros de San Antonio will have the distinguished honor of performing with the acclaimed tenor, Placido Domingo, tomorrow June 1 at the AT&T Center in San Antonio at 7:30 p.m. This is the second time Mariachi Los Galleros performs with Placido. They accompanied him at his last concert in San Antonio in 2007. Concert-goers can expect a magnificent show. Los Galleros will be accompanying Placido on El Rey, Cocula, Serenata Tapatia and Ella.
The group was formed in 2006 in San Antonio by Miguel Guzman and Ismael Alatorre. Los Galleros has also made an appearance on NBC’s The Today Show and performed at the wedding of Former President Bush’s daughter Jenna’s wedding. The 12 Mariachi Los Galleros musicians and vocalists who will perform tomorrow evening are Miguel Guzman, Luis Esquivel, Roberto Vargas and Uriel Bibano on violin, Armando Rubio and Justin Acevedo on trumpet, Ismael Alatorre on vihuela, Eric Fernandez on guitarron, Adolfo Estrada on guitar and Adrian Perez on harp. Violinists will also include Miguel Guzman’s children – Miguelito and Alejandra Guzman.

Mariachi Los Galleros never showed up to my sister’s wedding. After paying the deposit and signing a contract, they never showed up. They didn’t even call to let us know that they were not going to show up. This group has no professionalism and I would not recommend them to any one looking for mariachis.
