The internationally renowned and Mexico City based Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán will perform at the Chȃtelet Théȃtre in Paris, France with the Houston Grand Opera September 22-27. The group is scheduled for 6 back to back performances of Cruzar la Cara de la Luna/To Cross the Face of the Moon. Joining them will be Vanessa Cerda who was selected by Mariachi Vargas as the “Best Mariachi Vocalist in the US” during the 1999 Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza in San Antonio. Vanessa will perform as a cast member with the Houston Grand Opera.

BTW…Vanessa is currently on the Spanish TV reality show on Estrella TV “Tengo Talento.” If she wins, she’ll return home to Houston with $100,000 in her purse. We wish you all the luck in the world Vanessa!
