This Friday, February 10th, San Antonio will host Noche de Romance, a very special Valentine’s Day concert featuring some of Texas’ greatest Latin music performing and recording artists.
Noche de Romance features talented Latin soul and funk vocalist Claudette Casiano, San Antonio-based Trío Cantares de Mi Tierra, nationally-recognized mariachi vocal soloist Rhonda García and 12-piece, award-winning Mariachi Azteca de América.
This special concert is presented by Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center (GCAC) and H-E-B Grocery Stores. Eight members of the GCAC Mariachi Academy will also make a special appearance to showcase their talents.
Noche de Romance features romantic love songs that will ignite the hearts and touch the souls of both young and old. Expect to hear classic boleros, baladas and rancheras like Álvaro Carrillo’s “Sabor a Mí,” Jorge Adán Torres’ “Almohada” and José Alfredo Jiménez’ “Qué Bonito Amor,” that exalt the grandeur of love.
“This event offers the community a beautiful, culturally-enriching live music experience featuring San Antonio-based artists and musicians who have performed throughout the U.S.,” says GCAC executive director Cristina Ballí. “We want to invite the community to come out and join us for this event that contributes to the beauty and uniqueness of our city and resonates cultural pride and appreciation. Your support will also help us raise funds for GCAC’s Mariachi Academy,” she adds.

Dewalt, Attorney at Law; The Mariachi Connection, HD Time Holdings LLC, MariachiMusic.com and MPR, producers of the 23rd Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza.
