La Voz de Los Grandes Tríos de México de Luis Villa returns to Boerne, TX May 2

Get ready for a fabulous evening with Luis Villa y Trio Palenque in Boerne on May 2 for a special Mother’s Day tribute at the Cave Without a Name. The show titled,“Serenata a las Madres: A Heartfelt Tribute,” celebrates our mothers near Mother’s Day weekend and is presented by the Cave Without A Name in collaboration with MPR, producers of the 31st Annual Mariachi Extravaganza.

Luis Villa y su Trio Palenque is a distinguished musical group carrying the legacy of the great Mexican trios while preserving and elevating the tradition of romantic bolero music worldwide. The group consist of its 3 members Luis Villa, Ismael Rivera and Dani Garcia.

Luis Villa – First Voice

Luis Villa, originally from San Luis Potosí, Mexico, lives in San Antonio and stands as one of the most prominent voices in the tradition of Mexican trios. He was a member of Los 3 Reyes from 1996 to 2002, recording the historic album El Retorno de Los 3 Reyes, which featured a duet with the legendary Selena on No Me Queda Más. His talent has taken him across the globe, sharing the stage with renowned musicians and leaving an indelible mark on the bolero genre.

Ismael Rivera – Second Voice & Requinto

A virtuoso of the requinto, Ismael Rivera is one of the finest requintistas in Mexico and the world. Beginning his career in Monterrey in 1980, he performed with Delirio and Los Monarcas, later joining Los Clásicos de Monclova in the 1990s. He is originally from Nueva Rosita Coahuila and has resided in San Antonio since 1999 where he continues to champion the beauty of traditional trio music through his exquisite guitar work.

Dani García – International Requintista (Special Guest)

Hailing from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain, Dani García is an internationally celebrated requintista. His performances have graced prestigious festivals, including the Festival Isleños de Louisiana in New Orleans and the International Festival of Cantabrian Bolero in Spain. He has also accompanied Rafael Basurto, the iconic first voice of Los Panchos, and has performed alongside Luis Villa at Noche de Boleros in Gran Canaria.

This exceptional trio continues to captivate audiences with their rich harmonies, masterful instrumentation, and deep-rooted passion for the golden era of bolero music.

They will perform a special Serenata a las Madres in Boerne celebrating the timeless beauty of trio music while honoring our Mother’s during this special time of year. 

About the Cave Without A Name
The Cave without a Name is a national natural landmark that offers the perfect setting to enjoy live music. Located just 11 miles Northeast of downtown Boerne, it lends for a great experience for the entire family or a perfect date night out. The concert takes place inside the cave, in its natural setting of rock formations with acoustics that are second to none. Expect to walk down a flight of 127 steps to enter the cave and experience 90 minutes of blissful music. No food or drinks are allowed inside the cave and restrooms are located at the entrance of the cave.

This event attracts people from all parts of the Texas Hill Country along with tourists from all over the world. There’s always interesting people to meet and see and it’s just always tons of fun to be in this unique venue with some of the greatest artists in the world. This is a show you don’t want to miss. The even venue fills up fast as there are only 200 seats so be sure to plan in advance and purchase your tickets early so you don’t miss out on a very special evening.
