Tickets for the 27th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza are officially on sale now to the general public through Ticketmaster.com.
Plans are in the works for a live, in-person mariachi music festival this year despite the challenges faced with the upsurge in COVID cases. So here are some important things to know before you purchase tickets:
- Tickets can be purchased online through ticketmaster.com or in person at the Alamodome Box Office. If for any reason, the event is canceled, ticket holders will receive an automatic refund if tickets are purchased online. Anyone who purchases tickets in person, at the Alamodome, must return to the Alamodome Box Office for a full refund.
- The current city ordinance is that everyone must wear a mask indoors unless they are actively eating or drinking. So, if the Mariachi Vargas concert were held today, A MASK MUST BE WORN INDOORS. Venues are open at 100% capacity and hand sanitizers will be placed throughout the venue. No temperature checks or proof of vaccination are required at this time.

This year’s Mariachi Vargas concert will feature Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán and winners of the 27th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza. The concert is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, 2021.
This year, the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza will offer options to upgrade to a VIP add-on for any ticket holder. This gives all concert goers the opportunity to take photos with the artist prior to the concert. Prices for VIP upgrades are outlined in detail below. Please note, upgrades are only available to those who purchase tickets online.
Level I – Exclusive pre-show photo Meet & Greet with a member of Mariachi Vargas: + $25 to any ticket purchased
Level II – Everything on Level I plus: Access to exclusive pre-show VIP Reception with light refreshments and music, on-site VIP Group host and pre-show tour merchandise shopping opportunity. + $50 to any ticket purchased
Level III – Everything on Levels I and II plus: Commemorative Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza tote bag and Commemorative Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza laminate. + $75 to any ticket purchased
Level IV – Everything on Level I, II, and III plus: Commemorative Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza T-Shirt. + $100 to any ticket purchased
The Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza is one of the largest and longest-running mariachi music festivals in the world.
