Mil gracias to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Music for partnering with the Mariachi Extravaganza to present the inaugural Mariachi Extravaganza Las Vegas this Saturday! We are grateful to Isrea Butler, Stephen Blanco, Lori Cobo, and the entire UNLV team for making it possible for young artists to perform on a world-class stage to showcase their talents.

Thanks to all of the musicians and vocalists joining us for a full day of spectacular performances at the UNLV Performing Arts Center Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall. And, we are so grateful to the parents and mariachi directors for your unwavering support in helping to make this all possible.

A full day of Mariachi group and vocal competitions start at 9 am leading up to the concert featuring competition winners and Jonathan Palomar. UNLV’s Mariachi Revolución, and many local and competing mariachi groups, have been preparing to accompany many of the young artists in the vocal competitions and concert and we appreciate all of the hard work and preparation leading up to this weekend. Additionally, we are also grateful to Jonathan Palomar, Jimmy Cuellar and Adrian Mendoza for serving as judges.

A heartfelt thanks to our presenting sponsor, KHS America Alianza Académica, for your continued support of mariachi education, and to La Tremenda Radio, Telemundo Las Vegas, and Mexican Consul Patricia Cortez Guadarrama for championing this event.
